Location:Salary: On ApplicationJob Reference : 62580/001_1736152969Python developerContract – PAYEGlasgow – 12 monthsFPSG’s seek and experienced Python engineer to join a bespoke tooling, automation and solutions team, with autonomy and technical creativity, embedded in a global market leader organisation. This squad development environment needs strong software engineer who have excellent core Python (additional skills include Java, TypeSctipt, JavaScript, DevOps Exposure, Could knowledge) and the ability to influence the design & architecture of the applications, services and tooling around them.To be successful you will have:Current and practical advanced expertise using Python; with additional skills in Java, C++ or other OO language; * Strong JavaScript & TypeScriptA strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL and broad database development experienceMust have strong technical skills in contributing to complex enterprise level systemsShould possess excellent object-oriented design skills, OOA / OODExperience with multi-tiers and service-oriented architectureIn addition RDBMS, exposure and understanding on NoSQL / Hadoop is desiredKnowledge of software development life cycle and agile development practices. TDD / BDDStrategic thinking, collaboration and consensus building skillsPlease note: Familliarity with DevOps is important, but this is NOT a DevOps role, the Python engineering is to build Tooling, Automation, Tracking, Testing and Quality Tools that the Development and DevOps community will use.Please note: This role does offer hybrid working, but team collaboration and engagement does average 3 days a week ON-Site in Glasgow City Centre, as such living in a direct commutable distance from Glasgow City is required.Reward
