WBG Finance ITS Unit Context

• WBG Finance (ITSFI) is responsible for providing high quality, streamlined information and technology solutions for the World Bank’s Financial services, which include Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Controls, Treasury, Loans, Accounting, and Concessional finance (managing donor contributions from inception to the point of final disbursement, including IDA, Financial Intermediary Funds and Trust Funds). ITSFI is additionally responsible for building its IT services using a shared platform that provides scale, leverage, reliability, and control while at the same time improving responsiveness to emerging business needs.  The above position will be under Treasury Information Technology (ITSRA), one of the divisions under ITSFI.  ITSRA handles the support of financial applications in the areas of Risk and Analytics that also includes Data Management and Reporting.

Job Opportunity

• ITSRA is seeking an experienced, motivated, and ambitious Quality Assurance Expert in Sofia, Bulgaria with good technical skills to lead a group of Quality Assurance Experts in the Unit.

Core responsibilities include:

• Manage a team of junior QA testers.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual/automated tests.
• Automate test cases using MXTEST, Murex’s automation tool.
• Review and analyze results of test cases.
• Insert bugs and follow up on their timely resolution.
• Perform status reporting on test case coverage and test case results.
• Work in close collaboration with software developers and business analysts.
• Develop and maintain documentation of test cases.
• Provide support to the business users during SIT and UAT.

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering or relevant area or Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Experience as a Quality Assurance expert.
• Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills.
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in using automated testing tools is highly desirable.
