The purpose of the position is to contribute to the Safeguarding and Quality team’s purpose, to support all OzChild people to implement the risk management and quality management frameworks into all program and support areas. The team assists OzChild in meeting legislative, regulatory and registration requirements and actively encourages and supports a continuous improvement culture.
This role will be based in Dandenong but offers flexibility to work from home and travel between sites & interstate sites will be required
The role
- Undertake activities to assist all program and support areas to meet the requirements of accreditation and certification under all relevant frameworks including Acts and Regulations.
- Conduct regular internal audits and facilitate external audits and associated accreditation processes.
- Take an active role in evidence-gathering to support internal and external review / audit processes and program file audits.
- Monitor accreditation and audit processes to close out any findings for improvements within the organisational quality workplan and provide responses to external auditors.
- Assist in the development and continual improvement of program-specific procedures and practices to ensure the observance, implementation and support of organisational policies.
- Proactively engage with services teams, participating in relevant forums to monitor and advance business assurance.
- Maintain organisational Document Management system.
- Support the implementation of frameworks for risk, quality, compliance, complaints, continuous improvement, emergency management and business continuity planning across OzChild, using expertise to influence the use of the frameworks in practice by providing tailored and specific support, guidance and advice.
- Communicate and present reporting and information/ discussion / approval papers to ELT and Board.
Essential:
- Degree qualification in Social Work, Arts or a relevant discipline that is recognised in Australia
- Drivers License
Desirable:
- Internal Auditor certification desirable
