This position is for a Quality Advisor within the Academic Development & Quality Team. 

As a Quality Advisor you will contribute to the delivery of excellent teaching and learning services to Toi Ohomai kaimahi (staff) through developing, monitoring and supporting quality improvement activities and practices.  

The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Embedding quality practices through the provision of support for quality assurance activities such as moderation, consistency reviews, resulting, credit recognition, annual Programme evaluation and review
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including management and kaimahi (staff), to ensure quality standards are met
  • Reporting on quality practices as required. This may involve preparing reports, presenting findings, and responding to questions and concerns
  • Providing training and support to kaimahi (staff) to ensure they understand and follow quality management systems and processes
  • Analysing data and trends, and develop solutions to support continuous improvement

About you / He kōrero mōu 

As the ideal applicant, you will have:   

  • Demonstrated experience in providing quality advice, coordination, and support in relation to academic quality practices
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with people at all levels of an organisation
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in relation to quality
  • Experience in supporting and advocating the use of te reo, tikanga and matauranga Māori in the workplace
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • An innate desire to help others, enjoy variety in a role, and possess a sense of humour
