The role

AccessCare, City of Kingston is seeking a Quality and Contracts Coordinator to join their busy small team. We are looking for someone with experience in aged care, who is familiar with the Aged Care Quality Standards and implementing quality initiatives including to clinical care and governance.

Reporting to the Senior Team Leader Home Care Packages your role is to:

  • Management of AccessCare’s quality system, with oversight for the compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, along with AccessCare management.
  • Monitor program performance, coordinate reporting/audit activities with a focus on clinical governance service providers compliance, documentation and processes.
  • Oversee Quality Management and Contracts for AccessCare as it pertains to home care service delivery.
  • Manage the processes and the database to ensure the currency of AccessCare policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation and ongoing readiness for accreditation visits and conduct annual self-assessment audits to ensure services are operating in line with governing standards.
  • Identify priorities and risks through data analysis, reports and trends, collaboratively developing action plans to achieve continuous improvement
  • Monitor existing contracts and agreements as relevant to AccessCare service provision, monitor OHS compliance and participate in contract renegotiations including tendering.
  • Respond to requests for new service provider agreements.
  • Train and support staff regarding processes to establish new providers. 

 You will have: 

  • A tertiary qualification in Nursing (RN) or Social Sciences, Health or a related discipline and/ or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and awareness of what is required to meet the aged care standards.
  • Strong knowledge of the aged care accreditation process, auditing and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated ability reviewing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Project or quality management experience desirable, particularly in the aged, health or disability sector.
