Responsibilities:
General responsibilities
- As directed by the SQMO, conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities.
Specific duties
- Conduct site visits on NPA Operational task sites in South Iraq (NTS/CMRS/CMRC) and carry out Quality Assurance activities.
- Conduct QC activities following the end of clearance on a Hazardous Area by NPA operational assets.
- Support SQMO in preparing, updating and monitoring adherence to the annual QM plan.
- Prepare and maintain written records of all Quality Management activities.
- Manage and administer the selected QA/QC team members seconded from the clearance teams.
Other duties
- Be prepared to temporarily act as Site Supervisor in absence for short periods if required
- Monitor and assess the quality of training conducted if required by the SQMO.
- Support with instruction on training courses if requested by STFM
- Be able to travel to Basra or Thi Qar and around Iraq or the region for any operational workshops or training
- Provide information related to Quality Management work to TFMs if requested
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Required qualifications:
- Certified Site Supervisor-Team Leader qualification.
- Completed EOD Level 1
Education:
Must have:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience at leadership level within Mine action.
- Good computer skills essential and experience in MS Office applications.
- Valid Driving licence with actual practical driving experience, manual and automatic vehicles.
Desirable:
- Proficient in written and verbal English
Experience:
Must have:
- He/she must have experience as an NPA Team Leader and Site Supervisor
- Have an understanding of Land Release and the Toolbox approach
- Sound understanding of IMAS, NMAS and SOPs related to Quality Management
Desirable:
- Experience in conducting conventional Minefield and BAC activities
Other qualifications:
- EOD qualification is an advantage
