About The Role
The primary objective of the role is to meet and exceed Aged Care Quality Standards, all regulatory compliance framework and customer perceived service quality across all ANHF service platforms by:
- Plan, develop and implement a robust quality, risk and compliance framework across all service platform
- Quality analysis and reporting to facilitate evidence based approach to continuous improvement
- Drive and integrate continuous quality improvement practices into all ANHF service deliveries
- Provide support in external accreditation/certification and internal quality audits
- Develop and support the QRC Team
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- In partnership with the service delivery team, plan & develop a Quality management system and execute continuous improvement strategies across all service platform;
- Support development and implementation of consumer and staff engagement plans, communication strategies, workforce training needs analysis and staff competency development program in consultation with the QRC team;
- Support development and implementation of the enterprise risk management system comprises of WHS program, clinical governance and feedback & complaint management (i.e. Folio; MOA and ACSA Quality Portal).
- Support and assist managers to establish an agreed business reporting framework for reporting of service outcomes (quality indicators) and operational efficiency (KPIs);
- Assist managers and QRC team in the identification, collation, analysis, reporting and resolution of safety and quality issues;
- Support service delivery team to innovate and substantiate process improvements to meet consumer’s expectation
- Support QRC team to establish and conduct internal audit and review of P&P to identify gap and opportunities for improvement
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the QRC team to model a consultative, evidence based, outcome driven and innovative approach to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications and Skills
About the Successful Applicant
The successful candidates should possess but not limit to the following:
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years QRC management experience
- Tertiary qualifications in QRC management or related business discipline.
- Demonstrated capacity to support and lead QRC and audit functions.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance obligations of a Not-for-profit aged care provider or similar type of organisation.
- Ability to bring change management discipline to ensure successful implementation of Quality, risk & compliance management framework and processes.
- Ability to work in a matrix reporting structure and develop/maintain collaborative relationships across different business units in the organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic planning ability.
- Evidence of effective leadership, team building, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Computer literacy, including knowledge and competency in basic Microsoft applications, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of WH&S, EEO, and anti-discrimination legislative requirements.
- Speak fluent English and with excellent presentation and report writing skills.
- Current full driver’s license, access to use personal vehicle to travel to work sites with comprehensive insurance.
- National Police Clearance.
- Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency.
Desirable:
- Health care and Nursing qualification.
- Chinese (spoken / written) language skills.
- Experience in the Aged Care industry esp. quality and/or health care accreditation.
- Experience in working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (“CALD”) communities.
