Quantity Surveyor
York, up to £50k, car, laptop, progressionExcellent opportunity to join a great employer working on new build and bespoke projects around the Yorkshire area. The role would suit an ambitious Estimator or QS looking for their next role where they will have autonomy, progression, and the opportunity to work on some exciting projects. You will be required to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is procured and delivered within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding customers’ expectations.The Quantity Surveying role includes:
Maintain contract documentation and advise on pre-tender and post-contract matters
Preparation and issue of contractual letters to clients and sub-contractors
Post-contract liaison with clients and design team
Sub-contract negotiation and timely letting of sub-contractors, including co-ordination of subcontractors
Preparation and submission of interim valuations
Site measurement
Manage and value variations
Agreement and certification of sub-contractor’s interim valuations and final accounts
Agreement of final accounts
To attend meetings and site visits
Assist in the completion and submission of PQQs
Maintain sub-contract database
Prepare and issue sub-contract inquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
Complete tender documents for submission
Assist in producing commercial reports, cost reports, monthly reports
Provide an initial cashflow schedule for each project
The Person:
Ideally, hold a relevant degree although this is not essential.
Commercial acumen
Ability to work as part of a close-knit management team and manage numerous activities and projects simultaneously.
Ability to work on own initiative and with the minimum of supervision.
Outgoing personality
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

• Full Ideally clean driving licence

Having confident IT skills and experience in all MS applications are essential.Benefits:
