Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location:LeedsThorn Baker’s specialist client is looking for a Quantity Surveyorwith a background within construction contracts or refurbishment contracts to join their team.This family-run company has 30 years’ experience in delivering projects large and small across various sectors (Heath, Residential,Student Accommodation and Education). A great opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting refurbishment projects, in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges!What’s in it for you:

Your Responsibilities:

• Measurement, pricing, and evaluation of tenders
• Take responsibility for projects from inception to completion
• Identify areas to improve margin
• Cost management
• Target Creation
• CVR reporting and forecasting
• Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts
• Producing and submitting applications for payment

Required Skills:

• Professional Qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent
• Previous experience of working with bill of quants, schedules of rates, design and build contracts etc., additional experience of construction/retrofit or fabric upgrades preferred
• Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors
• Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative
• Excellent time management s
