Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: £35k-£55k DOE

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm with 1 hour for lunch

Location details: You will be working in London 2 days per week and 3 days working in the office

Benefits:

As the Quantity Surveyor your duties and responsibilities would be to:

• Understand and interpret the company’s contractual obligations including technical specifications, financial and commercial

• Negotiate contractual terms pre-order to ensure company risk is reduced and cashflow is maximised

• Analysis of tender allowances, contracted works, and specifications

• Ensure specification differences are correctly recorded and customers informed on time and in the appropriate manner to ensure a zero negative financial impact of such differences

• The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates

• Collation, preparation of all evidence for variations including all charges, contra charges and added works according to specific contractual requirements

• Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions

• Subcontract and Design Procurement

• Subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts approval

• Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations in line with company format / needs

• Monitor project spend vs budget weekly

The ideal candidate:

If you possess Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry, particularly with sub-contractors, you are the perfect match for this role
