Driving Licence RequiredWe are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and proactive Quantity Surveyor to support a range of installation and construction projects. If you’re commercially minded, detail-focused, and ready to make a measurable impact, this could be your ideal next role.Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial success and commercial integrity of each project. You’ll be responsible for cost planning, contract management, and stakeholder engagement, helping to deliver projects on time, on budget, and in line with all compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCost Management & Commercial SupportConduct feasibility studies and cost analysisPrepare and review tender documentationCreate bills of quantities and manage cost, value, and riskTrack and manage project changes and financial impactsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulationsContract & Financial ManagementReview, negotiate, and manage contractsLead on contractual claims and dispute resolutionMaintain accurate forecasting, cost tracking, and reportingProduce monthly CVRs and commercial strategiesInternal & External CollaborationWork closely with commercial, design, sales, finance, and operations teamsMaintain strong client relationships and manage external stakeholdersEnsure accurate and compliant contract terms are in placeWhat We’re Looking ForQualifications and ExperienceHNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalentPrevious experience in fire protection systems is desirableFamiliarity with JCT/NEC contracts and construction lawProven track record in commercial management and reportingSkillsExcellent communication and time management skillsStrong financial acumen and analytical thinkingProficient in Microsoft Office and financial reporting toolsPersonal AttributesProactive and confident decision-makerCollaborative team player with leadership potentialHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailSpecial RequirementsFull UK driving licenceWillingness to travel as requiredAbility to obtain security clearance if neededCommitment to ongoing professional developmentBenefitsCompany car or car allowanceUniform providedLife insurance (3x salary after probation)24 days holiday plus bank holidays (3 days allocated to Christmas shutdown)Employee Assistance Programme for personal and mental health supportCompany social events (summer and Christmas)If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and make a meaningful contribution to a growing business, we want to hear from you.
