£55,000 – £60,000 plus package with annual salary reviewsOur client is actively recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a newly awarded Industrial project near Reading. They pride themselves on being professional and approachable and are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to share their drive and passion.
Our client is one of the largest UK Main Contractors and deliver multimillion-pound projects. This scheme has a contract value of £50 – £100 million and a duration of approximately 2.5 years. They are a privately owned business and operate on a regional basis.
This role is available on hybrid basis and the client is happy to accommodate, 3 days on site and 2 days from home.The Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• The ability to work independently with confidence and decisiveness
• Candidates should be self-motivated, proactive with a positive can-do attitude
• Previous experience on projects £15 Million +.
• Experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, specifically in the industrial sector.
• BPSS Security Cleared

Key duties will include, but not limited to:

• Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team. Help ensure that business targets and KPI’s are exceeded
• Preparation of monthly cost / value reports for area, together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members
• Production of commercial reports together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members
• Physical measurement of works and agreement of same with client and subcontractors
• Agreement of certification and payment of subcontractor accounts – monitoring of such accounts against forecasts
• Assist in managing sub-contractors including sending out enquiries, collating prices, comparing with tender, negotiation, order placement, agreement of account and payment

• Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 with 2 annual salary reviews
