My client are a Lancashire based, leading roofing and cladding contractor who deliver projects across the UK. They have worked on projects across a range of different sectors including commercial, industrial, leisure, healthcare, and nuclear.They are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their business and play an integral part of the company’s future.As the Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, your duties will include:

• Reviewing project costs for accuracy and addressing any discrepancies.
• Evaluating, pricing, negotiating, and finalising budgets and costs for project scope changes
• Developing and maintaining procurement schedules.
• Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works to facilitate accurate project pricing.
• CVR reporting.

• Estimating on a wide range of roofing projects.
• Responsible for the production of tenders, budget estimates and cost plans.
• Review of bid documents, drawings, specifications, and other reports applying a good understanding of all components of a tender submission.
• Identify any financial, design, production, and contractual risks/opportunities.

Requirements:

• Experience of working within the roofing and cladding sector is desirable but not essential
• Degree qualified in quantity surveying/or similar (HNC, etc) (Desirable)
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
