We are pleased to announce that we are expanding our North London Open Spaces Formal Parks
Team. We are seeking to appoint an Operative Ranger (Farm) to support our existing teams and
operational services that we provide to members of public and user groups.

Do you excel working
in a fast-paced outdoor all-weather environment? Do you have experience of working with

willing to continue progressing in your skill sets and grounds maintenance knowledge?

About Us

The City of London Corporation manages 11,000 acres (approximately 4,500 hectares) of land in
and around London that is enjoyed by over 16 million visitors annually. Whilst there are small
pockets of land within the Square Mile, the majority can be found elsewhere in London and the
surrounding counties. The City Corporation acts as Trustee of 10 charities which, through their
various objects, are responsible for the preservation in perpetuity of a large proportion of
these award-winning open spaces.

The Role

The Operative Ranger is the frontline face of our open spaces and critical to ensuring a safe,
welcoming customer experience to all users and maintaining the high standards required for the
Green Flag Award and other nationally recognised standards. This is a full-time permanent role
where you will divide your time between covering the farm duties when required and working with
the park grounds maintenance team where you will play a dynamic role in supporting existing
teams to keep the parks clean and safe, engaging with visitors and community groups, continuing
with the upkeep of sports pitches and facilities, and supporting events and entertainment
across the department. This is an exciting and fast-paced role working in some of London’s most
unique open spaces where no two days are alike.
