Reader or Professor in Applied Maternal, Child and Infant Health Research

Do you have a passion for transforming lives through education and research in a growing School of Health Sciences?The roleWe are seeking exceptional candidates for the role of Reader or Professor in Applied Maternal, Child and Infant Health Research. The ideal candidate will undertake excellent research aligned with the School’s primary research themes: Understanding health, Innovation in health and/or Improving health service delivery.The successful candidate will join the Mother, Infant and Child Health research group, a vibrant, multi-disciplinary team with interests spanning quality of maternity care, infant feeding, perinatal mental health and adverse childhood experiences. We are interested in individuals with expertise in (but not limited to) quality of maternity care, perinatal mental health, global maternal and infant health, and marginalised populations.The successful applicant will strengthen our academic leadership, developing and sustaining research programmes within the School, and supporting teams to flourish.Candidates will have an international reputation for, and track record of, excellent and impactful research, underpinned by substantial external grant funding as Principal Investigator, and evidence of world-leading (REF 4*) publications.The post includes teaching and research contributions, dependent on existing grant funding and the needs of the School.
