Job description

Based in central London, our client in the Real Estate sector is looking for an Investment Analyst to work closely with their Investment Director, covering a wide range of duties, including investment, market study, acquisition underwriting, due diligence, forecasting and budget control.Responsibilities:

• Prepare internal and external reportz including quarterly reports, investment papers, business plan and partnership strategy.
• Analyse potential acquisitions, provide support to the underwriting and presentation of opportunities in conjunction with the Investment Director.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with real estate investments, such as market volatility, regulatory changes, and tenant default. Recommending strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Undertake research and analysis of the UK markets, including trends, performance, peer reviews and customer analysis.
• Work with accounting functions, including monthly and quarterly reconciliations, forecasting and budget control.
• Develope relationships with key stakeholders including investors, advisors, property consultants, customers and the wider real estate market.
• Assist in the establishment of new investment vehicles, investment strategy, financial modelling, corporate governance and service agreements.
• Assist in the management of a real estate investment portfolio by monitoring the performance of existing properties, tracking income, expenses, and market conditions, and making recommendations for portfolio adjustments.
• Assist in structuring real estate deals, including negotiating terms, securing financing, and coordinating with legal and financial advisors.

Requirements:A strong numerical undergraduate degreeSome years’ prior experience as an Analyst within a real estate private equity firm, investment bank, accountancy or real estate investment/asset managerAdvance analytical capabilities including creating, calculating and interpreting complex financial models such DCF, NPV and IRRA genuine interest in real estate transactional activity and an established knowledge of market conditionsA commercial mindset that can assess the levels of risk, the likely returns and the commercial financing anglesBenefits:
