New opening for a Real Estate Senior Associate to join a global law firm, based in Glasgow or Edinburgh. Applicants must have at least 4 years of PQE in dealing with Scottish Commercial Property transactions.The Scottish Real Estate team forms an integral and seamless part of an award-winning practice which offers a complete range of real estate services to clients, from development, joint ventures, structured investments, acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, retail and real estate finance to construction and property litigation. The global expansion of the firm in recent years has also broadened the international angle to the real estate practice.The team work on a wide variety of real estate transactions, both domestic UK transactions and supporting activities of the firm’s global clients. They deliver a client-focused responsive service for blue chip clients who expect the highest quality, great value and the delivery of excellent work. Their clients expect their lawyers to be specialists in their sectors, and to be pro-active and commercially minded.Required experience will include:

• Development and infrastructure projects.
• Investment-based disposals and acquisitions (including corporate share acquisitions).
• Working with project teams including construction and planning colleagues.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial real estate documents such as sale/purchase contracts, easements, licences and agreements for lease.
• Dealing with the usual real estate due diligence requirements such as the preparation/review of certificates/reports on title.
• Carrying out asset management and portfolio management work (e.g. shopping centres) and providing general landlord/tenant leasing advice
