Job description
As first point of contact for our community, you’ll have a great phone manner and be friendly and welcoming to our centre visitors. You’ll enjoy connecting our community members with the broad range of Communify’s services and you’ll also enjoy providing support to our team of staff and volunteers as we work together to support our community and to make a difference.
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

About the role
- Be a welcoming and a friendly first point contact for centre visitors and callers
- Help community members with program information, service navigation, making appointments and arranging connection to Communify’s services
- Greet people who arrive for appointments, making them feel welcome and values
- Manage the Admin inbox, responding or re-directing to the right team or service
- Manage venue hire inquiries, assisting with information and bookings
- Manage meeting room and car booking for staff and volunteers
- Provide support to volunteers who work in the centre or who are providing outreach services
- Maintain the reception and kitchen areas as tidy, welcoming and well stocked spaces
- Undertake other general administration support to the broader Communify team
Required skills
- Strong, friendly communication skills and a great phone manner and email style
- ability to manage multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision
- Good computer literacy
- Enjoyment in being part of a team that provides compassionate and respectful service and support to our community’s most vulnerable members
- Ability to work alongside and to support our valued volunteers
Additional skills and experience
- Experience working or volunteering in a community support setting
- Certificate III in Business is desirable
