Express Employment is hiring for a seasonal Recreational Water Quality Technician to protect and restore the quality of Wyoming’s surface and groundwater. Monitors recreational water bodies for harmful bacteria and communicates those results to help protect the health of humans, pets, and livestock.

Overview:

• Frequent travel to recreational water bodies throughout the state of Wyoming
• Work with program staff to collect water quality samples
• Review satellite imagery to detect the presence of cyanobacteria blooms
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control of data

Gain Experience:

• Conduct quality assurance and quality control of data
• Interacting with the public

Qualifications:

• Possess or be working towards a bachelor’s degree in the sciences
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions in order to collect samples
• Experience with GIS is preferred
