If you are, we’re eager to connect with you!We are on the lookout for a Recruitment Partner who can find, inspire and secure top talent across our ten distinguished publishing houses, partnering closely with both hiring managers and candidates.This role reports to the Recruitment Manager and is part of a wider team of five Recruiters, our Employer Brand Manager, Programmes and Outreach Advisor, and Recruitment Coordinator.About PenguinWe’re the UK’s largest publisher; made up of some 2,000 people and publishing over 1,500 books each year. Together, we make books for everyone because a book can change anyone.The RoleThis is a busy and varied role; responsible for the entire recruitment lifecycle; from championing our employer brand, managing advertising campaigns, performing initial interviews & screening calls, and supporting our managers throughout the recruitment process. You will be responsible for engaging with a wide variety of talent from marketeers and designers to editors and publicists and could be working on up to twenty roles at any one time.Delivering an excellent candidate experience whilst meeting tight deadlines is critical for the success of this role, and you’ll also get involved with direct headhunting where needed. It’s important that you can confidently communicate with all stakeholders, develop effective recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires and internal stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will encompass the entire recruitment spectrum, focusing on mid to senior level roles across our ten publishing houses: Vintage, Ebury, Quadrille, Cornerstone, Transworld, Penguin Michael Joseph, Penguin Children’s, Penguin General, Penguin Press, and Audio.In collaboration with hiring managers, build & execute recruitment plans & campaigns.Proactively lead the hiring process, from market insights and job briefings, through to candidate selection and offers.Conduct thorough screening and assessment of candidates as required.Advise on optimum selection processes based on the needs of the role.Promote the company’s employer brand, values, culture, and showcase what makes us uniquely Penguin.What you will bring:Proven full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally in an in-house context.Knowledge and experience in implementing inclusive hiring practices that enable us to hire top talent.A genuine care for and commitment to delivering a great candidate experience, ensuring every interaction is positive and professional.Client mindset – partnering is a huge focus, with an effective communication style and credibility as an influencer who can build close relationships.Flexibility of style and able to adjust to individual needs of different stakeholders.Outstanding efficiency and organisational skills, enabling you to juggle multiple roles and timelines with ease whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.A track record of recruiting for a variety of roles, showcasing your ability to connect with a diverse range of candidates.Constructive questioning and influencing skills while maintaining collaborative relationships and constant dialogue with hiring managers.Team mindset – offering support, sharing expertise, and celebrating successes as a collective.Excellent ability to connect with others, inspiring trust and confidence through your words, actions and written communication.You’ll be right at the heart of our work to find and hire key talent for Penguin – this is a role with impact that will set you up for success as you further your career in Recruitment, Organisational Development, HR or wherever your plans take you.Application InstructionsPlease apply with your CV and cover letter outlining why you are the right candidate for the role by 11:59PM on Sunday 11th August.What you can expect from us:Salary: £39,000 – £43,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.Competitive benefits package:Our people are the heart of our business, and we work hard to support a culture of responsibility and recognition.Our benefits include:Financial – discounted shopping, season ticket loan, rental deposit loanWellbeing – healthcare cash plan, employee assistance, gym loanLifestyle – taste card, tech scheme, free and discounted booksFor our full benefits list please visit:Hybrid working:While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important.
