Position Summary
A Temporary full-time appointment for a qualified Regional Biosecurity Plan (RBP) Technician position is available with CEMML and duty-stationed on Guam in compliance with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Mariana Islands Training and Testing Biological Opinion of 2015 and the Navy-funded
Project Statement of Work that implement regional biosecurity measures to prevent introduction and promote control and management of invasive species.
The Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) is a research, education, and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University (CSU). CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations.

LOCATION: This position is duty stationed at the CEMML Joint Region Marianas (JRM) Area of Responsibility (AOR) Biosecurity Program office in Asan, Guam, a self-governing territory of the United States located 3,300 miles west of Hawaii and 1,500 miles east of the Philippines. Joint Region Marianas (JRM) was established in 2009 as the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force on Guam combined headquarters. While the Navy has numerous environmental protection programs in the region, a comprehensive biosecurity program to ensure protection of native plants and animals is a top priority.
This is a fully in-person position and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work arrangements.
