    Why this role?

    The Regional Community Development Manager (VIC) is integral in helping our communities to develop their resilience and reduce the harm of alcohol and other drugs. Working closely alongside the State Manager VIC/TAS, you will manage and efficiently deliver an integrated collection of evidence-based programs and projects within Victoria, including our flagship programs such as Good Sports and Local Drug Action Team (LDAT). You will have the opportunity to identify, develop, and build community partnerships, as well as manage a highly motivated team.

    As an active contributor to program improvement, you will seek opportunities for growth in alignment with business outcomes, quality programs and funding compliance.

    Some of your key activities will include:

    • Identifying, building, and developing strategic partnerships to meet our organisational objectives.
    • Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships including with local and territory Government representatives.
    • Significantly contribute to the effective delivery of all operational requirements of our programs and funding compliance.
    • Monitoring performance of staff and contractors to ensure agreed targets, budgets, protocols, and processes are adhered to.
    • Managing and participating in ADF promotional and educational events, presentations, and conferences in a variety of settings including community, corporate and Government.

    Who are we looking for?

    You are an expert communicator who thrives in an environment where you will be leading, developing, and motivating others. You have excellent relationship building and collaboration skills, having worked with a wide range of individuals, communities and organisations throughout your career. Maintaining an eye for financial and commercial matters, you are results focused and have excellent judgement and problem-solving skills.

    • Relevant experience in community development and experience in leading and delivering preventive health programs and products across different community settings.
    • Exceptional stakeholder relationship management skills.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage employees to achieve outcomes.
    • Strong operational and project management skills and experience, successfully achieving targets and delivery expectations, within a community development setting.
    • Strong promotional and business development expertise to achieve established targets and build stakeholder relationships.
