Our employment opportunity of the moment: Regional Office Assistant

Location: Middle East and North Africa Regional Office, Amman, Jordan (Hybrid Mode*)

Employment Status: Permanent employment, Locally engaged staff (LES)

Annual salary range Level 7: JOD 27,253 – JOD 35,614

You have:

  • A Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., administrative studies, organizational and business management)
  • A proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking). Fluent in Arabic and French is an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience of administrative and/or operational support including research-related assignments.
  • Significant knowledge of report preparation and experience in preparing, drafting, editing documents.
  • An enhanced understanding of the importance of the effective implementation of an organization’s policies and procedures governing operations.

You are interested in:

  • Playing a key role in respecting IDRC policies and procedures while supporting the regional office operations as well as providing program administration support.
  • Supporting the planning, coordination and organization of official visits and interactions with the head office and other regional offices.
  • Liaising with Program Officers within the regional office to provide program support activities by assisting in the organization of ad hoc and regular team meetings and conference calls/video conferences, including the preparation and distribution of documents.
  • Providing administrative coordination and support for regional office operations for procurement activities, financial transactions, and human resources activities
  • Assisting the Manager, Regional Office Operations in keeping up to date regional office emergency procedures and other internal communication documents to ensure the effective deployment of the business continuity plan.
