Regional Placement Facilitator/Practice Tutor, Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences

Specific Purpose Part Time Post (0.5 FTE) 

(anticipated duration 12 months) 

UCC wishes to appoint an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to the role of Regional Placement Facilitator/ Practice Tutor.  Reporting to the Head of Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences in the School of Clinical Therapies, the Regional Placement Facilitator/ Practice Tutor will work closely with the Practice Education Coordinator for the BSc in Speech and Language Therapy. The role will include supporting students and practice educators during practice placement, including associated administrative, examining and instructional duties.  

Candidates must be CORU-registered SLTs at Senior Grade. Experience in tutoring, teaching or clinical supervision is essential, as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility.

Appointment may be made on the HSE Senior Speech & Language Therapist Salary Scale (pro rata 0.5FTE):  €59,478 – €70,033

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
