Position Summary

In the dynamic context of the creation of Rely, the Head of Accounting will be in charge of setting up the Accounting organization of the company, and the management of all accounting activities, from the transactional level to the monthly closing and statutory reporting and compliance, as well as the consolidation into the Mother Companies Financials.

The organization will leverage the availability of resources provided by the TEN Global Business Services (“GBS”) team to support its expansion as the business grows.

The position will include the assurance of compliance with Internal Control requirements to ensure the robustness of the financial information.

Accountabilities

• Setup and supervision of the Accounting organization, and its future expansion to support the growth of the Company;
• Contribution to the ERP implementation for Rely for the Accounting aspects;
• Coordination and oversight of all transactional activities (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable mainly run from our GBS center in India) and General Ledger activities, up to the production of the financial information for the Company Leadership, including for the Company branch offices that could be registered for the execution of the operations;
• Accurate and timely management of the Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly close process, and interaction with the external auditors;
• Expertise on Accounting rules (IFRS) and recommendation on the accounting treatment of the operations of the Company, understanding the Business requirements, while leveraging Parent companies’ support when required;
• Handling of the consolidation process, delivering timely the required input for the parent companies’ periodic consolidation under IFRS;
• Implementation/Update of Accounting policies and procedures, and Compliance with the relevant Internal Control requirements;
• Compliance with the local tax requirements, in coordination with the Subject matter experts of the Parent companies where required.

Role Requirements

• Have a master’s degree in accounting or equivalent (including an accountant diploma);
• Have a 10 to 15 years’ experience, including ideally a first experience in external Audit and 7 to 10 years in similar accounting environment;
• Have a strong knowledge of tax rules, accounting standards and principles especially IFRS, including month end closing process and quarterly consolidation (HFM a plus);
• Have a prior experience of strong Internal Control environment;
• Have a good knowledge of IT accounting and reporting tools (Oracle a plus);
• Be a strong leader, keen to build and grow a strong Accounting team;
• Be autonomous, but show curiosity and ability to interact with the Business stakeholders and senior leaders of the Company;
• Have the capacity to be Hands-on and multitask, in the startup context of Rely, while developing a right-sized organization;
• Have excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English and French;
• Be proactive, engaged, energetic and keen to work in a dynamic environment;
