Rental Vehicle with Driver

Position: Driver with Rental Toyota Pickup (Service Contract)
Monthly Payment: USD 1,300 paid by Dorcas
Duty Station: Basra Governorate – Fao & Abu Al‑Khasib, with travel across Iraq
Working Days: Sunday–Thursday, with possible weekend/after‑hours availability as required

Service Overview

Dorcas is seeking a qualified and reliable driver who can provide a Toyota pickup truck (model year 2024 or newer) in excellent working condition along with driving services. The driver must have prior NGO experience and hold a valid Public Driving License. The position is based in Basra Governorate, specifically Fao and Abu Al‑Khasib, with frequent travel within and outside the governorate when needed.

Payment Terms

1. Dorcas will pay USD 1,300 per month for the availability and use of the vehicle and its driver. Payment will be made at the end of each calendar month.

2. The monthly amount of USD 1,300 is all‑inclusive, covering:

   • Fuel
   • Insurance
   • Driver’s costs
   • Repairs & maintenance
     Dorcas will not pay any additional charges (e.g., speed tickets).
   • All fuel, repair, and maintenance costs are the responsibility of the driver/vehicle owner.
   • Fuel must always be maintained above 50%.

Scope of Use

3. The vehicle will be used by Dorcas for travel anywhere in Iraq, including Basra, Fao, Abu Al‑Khasib, Baghdad, and other regions based on operational needs.

4. Availability requirements:

   • Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a driver.
   • Availability during weekends and after working hours upon request.
   • Overtime hours will be compensated with time off in following weeks.
   • The Administrative & Logistics Assistant of Dorcas Basra Office will coordinate schedules, tasks, and daily assignments with the driver.

Contractual & Operational Conditions

5. The contract will be automatically cancelled if there is any change to the approved driver or vehicle.

6. A vehicle logbook must be kept in the car:

   • Filled before and after every trip
   • Signed by the Dorcas staff using the vehicle
   • Submitted monthly as a condition for payment

7. If the vehicle is unavailable for any reason, the owner must:

   • Provide a replacement vehicle at their own cost, AND
   • Inform and obtain approval from Dorcas in advance
     If Dorcas arranges the replacement, the owner covers the cost.

8. The driver will support Dorcas teams in:

   • Loading and offloading materials
   • Maintaining order during distributions
   • Supporting focus group discussions
   • Any additional tasks requested

9. The driver must comply with:

   • Iraqi Road Traffic Regulations
   • Dorcas security and safety policies

10. The driver must sign and comply with the Dorcas Code of Conduct, which is part of the contract.

11. By signing the contract, the driver confirms that the vehicle is owned by him or legally under his responsibility, and Dorcas will not be liable for any damages or costs resulting from its use.
