Mission and objectives

Update UNICEF works in the world’s toughest places to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents – and to protect the rights of every child, everywhere. Context

The communication material will be used to showcase UNICEF Guinea-Bissau’s work, contributing to raising awareness about the situation of children and UNICEF’s response in the country. The online volunteers will support UNICEF’s efforts towards achieving the SDGs Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

Task description

We are seeking 3 Online Volunteer to support us by translating reports, communication and visibility material from Portuguese to English. To this end the Online Volunteer is asked:
– To translate the documents, which will vary in terms of number of pages, long into English.
– Ensure the translation is concise, in line with our communications guidelines, and fits the audience.
The selected Online Volunteers will be provided with the document in the original language and will receive guidance on the target audience and our communications guidelines as well as other guidance as needed.
The online volunteers will work under the guidance of UNICEF Guinea-Bissau Communication Officer, and in close collaboration with the Communication Associate.
