Ohio State University Extension seeks a Research Administration Management Senior Analyst who will serve as co-Investigator for a $2.5 million award from the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to determine approaches for effectively achieving project deliverables and give direction to day-to-day activities for behavioral and population-based public health intervention and research projects; recommend approaches for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of project initiatives to state-level Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) faculty; manage operational processes to collectively accomplish workplan benchmarks; provide fiscal management including drafting annual budgets and track spending of annual $500,000 grant funding; develop and design project materials, procedures, and outcome metrics, providing direction about their implementation to Extension Educators in the project’s two pilot counties; provide functional supervision for Extension Educators in the two pilot counties related to project deliverables; provides direction about policy development and community-level strategies based on in-depth discipline knowledge (e.g. human nutrition, physiology, obesity prevention, health behavior, public health strategies, policy implementation, health equity, and coalition development) and experience; collaborate with peers, evaluators, stakeholders, and leaders across state and federal agencies to discuss and resolve project challenges and find resolutions with reciprocal benefits; explain project content including health behavior change, environment change and public health policy development to gain cooperation; facilitate discussions to support health equity through project activities; coordinate and facilitate technical trainings and focus groups; develop data collection instruments; oversee the data collection process to obtain both quantitative and qualitative data; code assessment data and manage project databases; prepare data for analyses; serve as the main point of contact for the OSU Office of Sponsored Projects and the Investigator liaison for CDC project officers and scientific specialists; assure timely and thorough completion of deliverables; accountably prepare and submit monthly and annual reports and other written summaries of measures, data analyses, and progress to satisfy funder requirements and qualify for annual grant renewal; use judgement and interpretation to help problem solve and assist others to select the right course of action, including collaboratively achieving a vision of how project successes can be replicated and how project results will inform future community-level change priorities among community stakeholders and Extension professionals; perform computer and library literature searches, as needed for reports and IRB applications; organize and attend study meetings; perform other tasks as needed for successful operation and annual renewals and possible additional funding. This position will be in place through September 2028, with the potential for extension beyond this date if funding is available.  

The position is based in the Agricultural Administration Building on the Columbus campus; however, hybrid agreements may be approved. The ideal mix of hybrid and office work will be determined by the HOP project Principal Investigator in consultation with the employee.
