We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Administrator, with a passion for administration and customer service, to join our Major Projects team. You will take a key role in servicing enquiries and applications from prospective data users and ensuring proposed publications comply with data and reporting guidelines for a high profile, Australia wide major education research project. This role is suited to a highly organised individual, with existing skills or demonstrated capacity to quickly learn skills in data management processes and/or compliance to data and reporting guidelines.
This position is offered on a part-time (0.6 FTE), 12-month fixed term contract (parental leave cover) and will be based at our Melbourne CBD office with hybrid work arrangements available. A suitable home workspace and computer setup, and reliable internet connection are required to work from home.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- 12+ months’ experience in an administration role / research role
- Demonstrated passion for administration and customer service
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve or know where to seek answers
- Ability to work independently and take action where necessary
- Collegiate, consultative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders
- Existing skills, or demonstrated capacity to quickly learn skills, in data management processes, an advantage
- Basic level data analysis skills and/or demonstrated experience extracting data from databases an advantage
- Familiarity with project / workflow management software (e.g. Wrike) an advantage
