Research Analyst
Job Description
ASU’s American Indian Policy Institute (AIPI) located at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and Center for Indian Education (CIE) in the School of Social Transformation are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented research analyst knowledgeable of American Indian education policy and the rule-making process of the Federal Government, Tribal Governments and Federal Agencies such as, but not limited to, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), and the National Congress of American Indians. The policy analyst will conduct research and track policymaking at the Federal and State of Arizona government levels. The candidate is expected to participate in creating quarterly legislative updates and draft policy and research briefs, explainers, blogs, and articles on targeted issues relevant to American Indian communities. This position will have a high technical and complex involvement, requiring a degree of responsibility and judgment, highly specialized skills, or technical knowledge. The Research Analyst will report directly to the Senior Research Analyst.

Salary Range
$50,000 – $63,000 per year; DOE
Essential Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for and have duties in the following areas:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND three years of experience in research, information analysis or program evaluation; OR, Master’s degree in a related field AND one year of experience in research, information analysis or program evaluation; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
