Offer Description
The ITP-PIB Branch in Szczecin is looking for an employee for the position of Research Assistant to join the team conducting research in the field of environmental protection and agriculture, the use of biocarbon in agriculture, the sources and impact of greenhouse gas emissions, and the assessment of environmental conditions and risks.
Range of common tasks:
- participation in field research (sampling of surface and ground water, sampling of soil and plant biomass for laboratory analysis);
- conducting experimental work;
- raising qualifications, making efforts to obtain higher degrees and academic titles;
- disseminating the results of scientific research and development by writing scientific publications and active participation in scientific life;
- participation in the organizational work of the Szczecin Branch and the entire Institute.

Skills/Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- higher education – at least a master’s degree in environmental protection, specialization in the assessment of the condition and hazards of the environment;
- predisposition to scientific work confirmed by the opinion of previous employer/the supervisor or dissertation supervisor in the case of employment for the first time;
- knowledge of English at least at B2 (Upper-intermediate) level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), confirmed by a certificate (e.g. FCE) or candidate’s declaration;
- knowledge of the Polish language in speech and writing at at least a communicative level (in the case of a foreign candidate)
- at least one published scientific work with at least 100 points according to the latest list of MEiN journals (independently or with co-authors), possibly a statement about qualifying the work for printing. In the absence of publication, the master’s thesis defended with honors.
A relevant certificate must be attached.

- experience in research work (participation in international and/or national projects)
