The Programme for Emerging Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division at icddr,b has focused on studies to produce new knowledge about emerging and re-emerging zoonotic diseases of Bangladesh to prevent spillover of pathogens from animals to humans.  
The Research Assistant will report to the Associate Scientist and will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing research to collect high-quality data, analysis, assist in reports and manuscripts writing, and document within the guidelines of the research protocol and organizational values and guidelines. S/he will be involved in:
  • Working with team members in preparing field plan;
  • Building rapport with the community people;
  • Collecting high-quality qualitative and quantitative data in a timely manner adhering to the ethical guidelines;
  • Transcription and coding of qualitative data;
  • Organizing and managing survey data;
Required qualifications and experience:
  • Masters/Bachelor degree in Anthropology/Health Economics from a reputed university with good academic records;
  • At least 1 year of experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation; 3 Years of experience for Bachelor degree holders. Prior   experience working with ATLAS.ti or Stata software is desirable;
