The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Neurobiology is currently recruiting for a Contractual Research Assistant. The position will perform biomedical research in the laboratory of Dr. Michy Kelly in the Department of Neurobiology. The Research Assistant will conduct experiments in cell culture using molecular, pharmacological, and biochemical techniques to study age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease. Occasional weekend or holiday work will be required. Please include a cover letter with your application.

Primary Duties:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, biomedical sciences, or a related field or discipline.
Preferred Experience: One (1) year of laboratory research experience. Cell culture experience.
Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education. May require training related to occupational safety and health, environmental compliance, shipping of hazardous materials and/or ionizing radiation.
Hiring Range: $45,000 – $48,000 (Commensurate with education and experience)
