Working for the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine
The Division of Nephrology is the main health-care centre for people across northern Alberta suffering from kidney disease. It is part of the Alberta Kidney Disease Network, which includes clinical investigators in Edmonton and Calgary, all focused on clinical research and research training aimed at improving the health and well-being of people with kidney disease.
Position
The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. David Collister on various studies. The candidate must be able to recruit study participants and complete follow-up including the administration of questionnaires, which will require them to interact with patients, University, and Alberta Health Services staff. The candidate will conduct chart reviews to gather study data. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills to assist with a wide range of clinical research activities.
This position primarily takes place in the North Campus- University of Alberta Hospital dialysis unit and Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic but will require travel to other dialysis units located at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital, West Edmonton Kidney Care, Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, and Gene Zwozdesky Centre Norwood, and Royal Alexandra Hospital.
