Offer Description

Job Description

  • Develop and implement data management strategies and procedures.
  • Assisting PI with the collection, validation, and organization of data.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation and cleansing.
  • Design and maintain databases, data systems, and data entry processes.
  • Develop and enforce data management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with research teams and collaborators to identify data requirements and ensure data availability.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Manage data storage and backup solutions to ensure data security and disaster recovery.
  • Train and support staff members in data management processes and tools.
  • Manage and maintain the Google Cloud Platform, and support the microbiome processing pipeline.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics).
  • Proven experience in data management or related roles.
  • Proficiency in database management systems and data analysis tools.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality control and assurance processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large datasets.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
