Position Summary

Funded by HEA Gender Equality Enhancement Fund, the multi0disciplinary ENGAGE project team will design and operationalise a reverse mentoring scheme which will pair early career female academic, research, and professional staff as mentors to senior male and female managers in four HEIs (including UCC as lead) to explore and contest the gendered barriers faced by female colleagues in the higher education sector and to explore career development in a novel way.

This project team is organised across 4 Irish HEIs. It will involve the design and development of a staff reverse mentoring programme and supporting data collection instruments, engagement with stakeholders in the participating HEIs and the selection and training of mentors and mentees.

The results will inform the design of a framework that will support the implementation of the ENGAGE in HEIs beyond this pilot. The Research Assistant working on this project will have previous experience working on funded research projects and will work closely with the co-investigators to support the delivery of a number of well-defined project outputs.

Post Duration: 10 Months

Salary: €30,025 – €39,908 p.a. (IUA Research Assistant Salary Scale)
