The Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy (MTD) is an interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to understanding and responding to the social, political, and policy challenges posed by our evolving information ecosystem and digital technologies.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy is seeking applications for a Research Assistant with a focus on knowledge mobilization. The successful candidate will work with the research team on policy communications and knowledge mobilization of academic research reports.

The successful applicant will have: 

  • Keen interest in policy and media

  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Strong social media skills 

The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil the following duties: 

  • Translate academic research to public-facing communications outputs

  • Collaborate with other team members on assigned tasks 

  • Attend and participate in team meetings and other relevant events 

Education and Experience:

At least 3+ years of communications experience. Bilingual preferred.

$45.68
