Position Summary

We are offering an exciting opportunity to work on a multidisciplinary project between Applied Psychology, Computer Science, and Geography called Step Up funded by the Science Foundation Ireland National Challenge Fund: Sustainable Communities. The aim of this project is to identify psychological aspects that encourage, as well as prevent, people from walking and technological solutions to support them in the context of promoting healthy body and brain. We also aim to gather data to inform policy makers on the co-benefits of walking and sustainable transport to build more sustainable and healthy communities. The Research Assistant will work with an interdisciplinary team including psychologists, computer scientists (Large Language Models), interaction designers and geographic information system mapping experts.

Post Duration: 12 Months

Salary: €30,025 – €39,908 p.a. (IUA Research Assistant Salary Scale)
