to be filled. Starting date is as soon as possible. The position is initially limited to 3 years.

The research focus of the department is to improve global food security, resource conservation, environmental protection, animal welfare and human and animal health by improving the protein and phosphorus supply of farm animals.

Your tasks
Researchers are expected to plan and conduct research in the field of livestock nutrition, strengthening the research profile of the department and developing their own research agenda. The possible topics are broad and range from basic issues such as aspects of metabolic physiology to the suitability and evaluation of feedstuffs. Target animal species are preferably poultry and pigs or insects. The tasks include
§ Development and conception of innovative research ideas
§ Acquisition of third-party funding
§ Participation in teaching in German and, if necessary, English
§ Supervision of qualification theses, including doctoral theses
§ Obtaining approvals for experimental projects
