About the Caring Futures Institute

About the Role
As the Research Associate, you will work as study coordinator for the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), funded research project: Harnessing the power of co-design to develop digital solutions and improve health self-efficacy after stroke. This research project involves co-designing and user-testing a digital intervention to enhance self-efficacy in people with stroke and carers. (Stroke survivors and carers will be engaged throughout all stages of the project). This position works closely with the Chief investigator and contributes to the delivery of strategic objectives of the program of research.
Some out of hours work (including weekends) as well as rural SA, interstate, and overseas travel, may be required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to be collaborative, collegial, and organised. Having well-developed interpersonal skills and the capacity to knowledge-share, research, and engage with diverse stakeholders, colleagues, and industry partners is also critical to this role.
With exemplary excellent written and oral communication skills within an academic environment, you will also have:
- Demonstrated research experience in co-design with health professionals and people with lived experience.
- Proven experience delivering project targets on time.
- Research experience in terms of publications and presentations at a national and/or international level in a relevant field.
- Completed or have substantial progress towards a Ph.D. in a health-related field.
- Previous experience working with people with stroke (desirable).
You will be required to show sensitivity regarding the collection of data, ensuring your approach is always person-centric and respectful.
