Job Description

Purpose:

The Research Associate will work with primary human cells and cell lines. The goal is to use spheroid and organoids to study gene-diet interactions related to omega-3 fatty acids. Liver organoids will be fabricated and the role of Kupffer cells (i.e., resident macrophages) in different hepatic disease and injured conditions will be evaluated.

Responsibilities:

• Perform research work with primary human cells and cell lines.
• Use spheroid and organoids to study gene-diet interactions related to omega-3 fatty acids.
• Fabricate liver organoids and evaluate the role of Kupffer cells in different hepatic disease and injured conditions.
• Prepare manuscripts and present research at scientific meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we need:

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience.

What is helpful:

• Experience with cell culture, tissue engineering, and molecular biology is highly recommended.
