Job Description
Purpose:
The Research Associate will work with primary human cells and cell lines. The goal is to use spheroid and organoids to study gene-diet interactions related to omega-3 fatty acids. Liver organoids will be fabricated and the role of Kupffer cells (i.e., resident macrophages) in different hepatic disease and injured conditions will be evaluated.
Responsibilities:
- Perform research work with primary human cells and cell lines.
- Use spheroid and organoids to study gene-diet interactions related to omega-3 fatty acids.
- Fabricate liver organoids and evaluate the role of Kupffer cells in different hepatic disease and injured conditions.
- Prepare manuscripts and present research at scientific meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What we need:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of related experience.
What is helpful:
- Experience with cell culture, tissue engineering, and molecular biology is highly recommended.
