Offer Description
Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
There are two positions with complementary tasks available for this project.
The project aims at boosting the flux of a laser-driven HHG-based extreme-ultraviolet source to a level required for demanding applications in industry. In close collaboration with partners from industry and DESY, the two position holders will be responsible for the design, assembly and characterization of the EUV source and shall demonstrate an application in EUV scattering.

Skills/Qualifications
A university degree in a relevant field, plus doctorate.
The work requires profound knowledge in the fields of optics and vacuum technology as well as good experimental skills. Additional knowledge in electronics or HHG (position 1) or numerical physics modelling or x-ray scattering (position 2) is of benefit. Good language skills in either English or German are expected.
