Research Associate (Postdoc)

 

The position is located at the ERC Advanced Grant project “KIWIsome”, funded by the European Union, which deals with the role of proteins in the plant defense against pathogens.

If you meet the collective agreement requirements, you will be classified according to salary group 13 of the collective agreement of the state of Hessen (TV-H). This is a project position that is not limited in time according to § 2 (1) WissZeitVG.

 

Tasks:

  • biochemical and functional analysis of proteins and their complexes structural elucidation of the molecular
  • structure of individual protein complexes using X-ray crystallography and cryoEM

 

Profile:

  • completed scientific university degree (Diploma, Master’s or comparable) in biology or biochemistry
  • doctorate in a natural science subject or, alternatively, confirmation certifying that a doctorate will be achieved in due time
  • profound theoretical and practical knowledge in molecular genetics, biochemistry and structural biology
