Research Associate (Robotics)

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Associate. This project involves the modeling, design, fabrication and control of a soft gripper that can be used for manufacturing purposes.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Modeling and designing the proposed soft gripper

  • Fabricate and eventually control the soft gripper

  • Conducting experiments to evaluate the soft gripper

Job Requirements: 

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

  • Excellent communication skills, and also the ability to work independently.

  • Strong background in the areas of mechanical design, robotics, solid mechanics, or other relevant topics

  • Entry level candidates are welcome to apply
