Research Associate (Satellite IoT)

SCRIPTS specialises in privacy-preserving technologies (PP-Tech) that are computing techniques used to preserve individual’s privacy while allowing maximum value and insight to be extracted from available data.   

Our centre is seeking to hire a Research Associate to build the IoT hardware platform and design new framework and optimization algorithm for satellite IoT systems.

Job Description:

• Design and develop hardware systems for IoT

• Participate academic activities

• Assist in on-site experiments and data acquisition in application environment

• Develop algorithms for spectrum optimization, blockchain and edge computing

• Publish high-level academic papers

• Collaborate with other team members to build satellite IoT testing systems and draft research report

Key Requirements: 

• Master or PhD degree in engineering or science

• Have experience in publishing high-level academic papers

• Good skills in hardware design and C/C++ programming

• Knowledge in machine learning or IoT will be an advantage

• Ability to work independently and contribute to the whole team

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
