Research Coordinator – Front Range Eagle Studies (FRNBES)
Remote and/or Northern Colorado Front Range

Front Range Eagle Studies (FRNBES) is a long-term research and citizen-science initiative focused on Bald Eagles and other raptors of Colorado’s Front Range. Founded in 2015, FRNBES conducts behavioral, ecological, and conservation research and publishes peer-reviewed studies that inform management and policy decisions.

We seek a Research Coordinator to support ongoing analyses, joint research, and manuscript authorship. The position combines data management, statistical and GIS work, and scientific writing, with opportunities to contribute to applied conservation and outreach projects as appropriate. Remote applicants may focus primarily on data analysis, figure production, and manuscript preparation, while local applicants can also assist with field observations and coordination.

Applicants should have strong skills in R or Python for statistical analyses and publication-quality graphics, plus proficiency with Excel and GIS software (QGIS or ArcGIS). Excellent organizational and communication abilities, scientific writing experience, and attention to detail are essential. Graduate-level experience and familiarity with peer-reviewed publication are preferred. A high level of personal and intellectual maturity—ability to navigate complex scientific and social contexts with professionalism and empathy—is required, along with a deep interest in raptor ecology and conservation.

This is a flexible, contract-based role that may be structured as part-time or full-time depending on qualifications and availability. Compensation is approximately 60,000 USD per year (full-time equivalent), with potential for additional support through grants.
