Applications are invited for a Research and Knowledge Exchange Coordinator based in the School of Medicine. You will provide support for research activities that span the School’s interactions with our NHS partners, including the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), a key partnership between the University of Nottingham (UoN) and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH).

You will have organisational skills, ideally with experience of research support within a university of NHS setting.  Excellent numeracy skills, understanding of research finances and the ability to communicate with poise will also be key. You will also have experience of managing multiple projects, know how to manage conflicting priorities and be at ease working with colleagues at all levels of seniority.  A core aspect of this role is the need to be able to develop and confidently manage working relationships with a network of colleagues within and outside the university. You will hold a HNC or HND in a relevant subject, equivalent qualifications or have substantial work experience in a setting involving research activities.

As a university employee, you will have an excellent choice of benefits and rewards, including access to fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with 26 days’ holiday allowance (plus additional university closure days) and a highly attractive pension scheme.

This role is available on a fixed term basis until 30/11/2027. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may also be considered.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Ella Deutsch: [email protected]. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
