General Notes

Position is full-time and will end June 30, 2024.

Purpose

Provide research assistance in the lab of Dr. Xue-Xin Wei for the Department of Neuroscience. Incumbent will work on deep-learning-based models of visual cognition.

Responsibilities

  • Research visual cognition using sophisticated computational modeling techniques.

  • Perform literature reviews on relevant research topics.

  • Support the normal operation of the lab.

  • Maintain publishing record in top-tier journals and conferences.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience or related fields and two years’ related experience.

  • Experience working on deep neural network models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with variational auto-encoder, diffusion models.

  • One or more years of laboratory experience with visual psychophysics.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Professional demeanor and good interpersonal skills.

Salary

$63,852
