Research Fellow (Condensed Matter Physics)

A Research Fellow position is currently available in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Theoretical development of the pseudopotential formalism and composite fermion theory, as well as both analytic and numerical tools for studying the fractional quantum Hall effect

Job Requirements:

• PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics or closely related fields

• Highly motivated

• Expertise in topological phases of matter, strongly correlated systems and quantum numerical simulations

• Knowledge in strongly correlated topological systems

• Capability in large scale numerical simulation

• Good technical background in analytical and numercal skills in tackling many-body quantum systems

• Past publications show competent experience in research and crtical thinking
