The Department of OBGYN has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Research Laboratory Technician to work in Miami, FL.   The Research Laboratory Technician aids scientists in their experiments by monitoring and recording their findings. Moreover, the Research Laboratory Technician ensures laboratory compliance with applicable safety regulations. 

• Cleans sanitizes, maintains, and operates laboratory equipment.

• Keeps records of research data and assists in analyzing it.

• Maintains inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies and places orders in a timely fashion.

• Proofreads and assists in the writing of manuscripts, grant proposals, and lab protocols.

• Prepares reports of experiment results.

• Performs research by completing simple experiments or steps in more complicated studies.

• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                                         

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

• Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

• Commitment to the University’s core values.

• Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

• Maintains logs/progress reports to track both currently enrolled as well as follow-up patients/participants.

• Organizes and handles the flow of information to and from study participants, including study participant contact information.

• Maintains consent forms, all other documentation and sponsor correspondences.

• Attend meetings with research team members as needed.

• Maintains logs/progress reports to track both currently enrolled as well as follow-up patients/participants.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
